Functional Safety
& Reliable Processes

ISO 26262

Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL) is a risk classification system defined by the ISO26262 standard for the functional safety of road vehicles. Many EV components have high ASIL ratings – it is important that these are managed correctly to deliver that rating.

FutureMotiv offers consulting on functional safety work products and systems engineering, and also on the process side of functional safety and Automotive SPICE.

We can support a wide range of safety and reliable process activities: from complete creation of safety and Automotive SPICE processes, reviewing and updating existing development processes, planning and delivering a safety case, to creating and delivering work products such as Item Definitions, FTAs and HARAs.

FMEA

Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) is a systematic, proactive method for evaluating a process to identify where and how it might fail and to assess the relative impact of different failures, in order to identify the parts of the process that are most in need of change.

FutureMotiv offers a consulting service which uses vigorous S-FMEA and D-FMEA approaches to significantly enhance our client’s product robustness and reliability, of which the key benefits include, establishing safety requirements to mitigate risks to acceptable levels, managing and tracking the safety requirements, and ensuring that standardised safety procedures have been followed in the final product.
